Finally the Dutch Public Prosecution office has set 5th and 6th March 2014 as the date for the trial in the politically motivated charges against me.

You will all remember that 3 years ago the Dutch police stormed my house in Rotterdam and arrested me on trump up charges.

After a long delay, a month from today I will stand to defend the charges at the court in the ancient city of Dordrecht. It is an open trial and you all are invited to attend.

and it begins 10:00 AM.

The first prosecutor Mr. Geert Veurink has withdrawn from the case and his colleague Mr. Lars Stempher has taken over. It will be an interesting trial that you shouldn't miss.

Watch the EenVandaag video link below to refresh your memory with the case. Though in Dutch but I spoke in English!

As you may already know, I was arrested by the Dutch Police on 22nd February 2011 when more than 30 officers invaded my residence in Rotterdam, subjecting my house to more than 5 hours of search and detained me for 14 days in restricted custody on trump-up charges ranging from Human Trafficking, Fraud and Terrorism (blowing of oil pipelines in the Niger Delta) after carting away my computers and other valuable items.
The arrest came three weeks after I testified in the well publicised Dutch Parliamentary Hearing in January against Shell International at the Dutch Parliament in The Hague. I have consistently claimed innocence of these charges and want to reinterate that my arrest and current ordeal is politically motivated and sponsored by "higher powers" determined to crunch my vocal and fearless criticism of multinational oil giants operations and government corruption that has left ordinary people of my native Niger Delta impoverished.

A date has been fixed for my first appearance in court at the ROTTERDAM HIGH COURT (WHILEMINAPLEIN METRO STOP), POSTHUMALAAN 74, 3072 AG, ROTTERDAM. The date is MONDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER 2011 and the time is 14:30. Its at the 2nd floor and at the reception you ask of the case of MR. OFEHE and you will be referred to the Court Room.

My search for justice has thus began. I hereby invite you to attend this court session and hear me and my defense team defend these malicious allegations against my person. I will appreciate your presence in the court room on that day. Do not hesitate to contact me should you need further information or contact the office of my lawyers Manders Advocaten on +31- 010-476-3060 or email
