WW Recipe of the Day: Slow Cooker Apple Raspberry Cranberry Sauce
I made this simple, delicious apple-raspberry-cranberry sauce in the slow cooker for Thanksgiving last year. Slow cookers are lifesavers for holiday meals — they free up oven and stovetop space and make preparation easy.

This deep ruby-red cranberry sauce was a big hit. I don’t remember where I first spotted the idea, but it quickly became my favorite cranberry sauce — nicely balanced between sweet and tangy.
It’s wonderful with turkey or chicken and also makes a tasty topping for oatmeal, pancakes, French toast, vanilla yogurt, pound cake or ice cream.

Making cranberry sauce in the slow cooker is easy and reliable — no risk of boiling over or scorching like on the stovetop.

According to my calculations, each 1/4-cup serving contains 73 calories and the following WW values:

Ingredients
- 12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries (about 3 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups frozen raspberries
- 2 cups chopped, peeled apple
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
Instructions
- Ideal slow cooker size: 4-quart.
- Place the cranberries, raspberries and chopped apples in the slow cooker.
- Add the orange juice, water and sugar, then stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, stirring occasionally and breaking up the apples and cranberries with a spoon as they soften.
