Moving Forward
We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and trying new things because curiosity leads us down fresh paths.

Encouragement
Today I invite you to notice your surroundings and intentionally experience at least one new thing. Exploring more—whether by reading, moving, visiting, or learning—enriches our lives and sharpens our sense of wonder. While we are caregivers, parents, and household managers, we are also individuals who benefit from stepping outside familiar routines.

- Read a new book, article, or magazine you’ve never opened.
- Practice a new yoga pose or try a short online class.
- Walk in a park or neighborhood you have not explored.
- Learn the basics of a new language—try a five-minute lesson or an app.
- Experiment with a fresh hobby or creative activity. The sky is the limit.
Take 15 minutes and refresh your bedroom. 100 points
- Make the bed.
- Dust surfaces and furniture.
- Put away clutter and organize nightstands or drawers.
- Vacuum, sweep, or tidy the floors.
We’re in the middle of the Momma-Olympics: Heart and Home Edition.
Game points are optional but can make daily routines more playful and motivating.
How to play: keep a notepad and add the points you earn for each completed task. You’ll earn points for regular household chores as well as for the Simple Daily Challenges posted throughout the event. Our focus is Heart and Home with a touch of Back to School preparation. Tally your points daily and feel free to share your totals in comments or on social media if you like.
How many points can you earn each day during the Momma-Olympics? As many as your time and energy allow!

- Quick bathroom tidy: clean sink, quick toilet bowl maintenance, and wipe countertop = 25 points.

- Load of dishes = 25 points
- Load of laundry = 25 points
- Vacuum, sweep, or mop a floor = 25 points
- Take out trash = 5 points per bag or can

- Healthy you: 25 points for daily exercise or movement and 25 points for daily meal tracking
- Simple Daily Challenges: up to three per day at 100 points each
Record these tasks each day and add them up for a running total. At the end of the Momma-Olympics, you’ll have a clear picture of all you accomplished—big and small.
Use this challenge as motivation to build helpful habits, reclaim calm in your home, and carve out time for personal growth. Small, consistent actions add up, and celebrating those steps makes the journey more enjoyable.
Printable tracking sheets or simple checklists can help you stay organized. Keep a pad by the kitchen or desk, jot down completed tasks, and track points. Above all, be kind to yourself—progress, not perfection, is the goal.
