Skillet Chocolate Chip Pizookie Recipe: Gooey Dessert for Sharing

This is one of the all-time best desserts I have ever made.

With a cold glass of milk and a spoon, you’ll be in pure heaven! 😀

A soft yet slightly chewy skillet cookie that smells incredible while it bakes.

I like to let cold scoops of ice cream melt a little on top…

Goodness, I’m about to make another one just talking about it! LOL

I first tasted this at a restaurant and had to recreate it at home.

Next time I’ll either double the chocolate chips

or use larger chocolate chunks!

Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie – Pizookie

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Ice cream for topping
  • Optional: caramel for drizzling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a cast-iron skillet (12-inch works well; use a smaller skillet for a thicker cookie). Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted butter and both sugars; stir until smooth.
  • Add eggs, vanilla bean paste, flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Mix well with a spoon—no mixer needed. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the greased skillet.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, removing while the center is still slightly gooey.
  • Serve warm topped with ice cream and optional drizzle of caramel or extra chocolate.
  • Enjoy!
