I’ll be honest: sleeping in the same bed as my husband can be challenging.
Between tossing and turning, the tug-of-war over blankets, and snoring, my nights aren’t always restful.

My favorite part is when he asks the next morning, “Did you not sleep well?”
No — I didn’t. I feel like a zombie and need all the coffee.

That’s why I’m planning to try something called the Scandinavian Sleep Method.
I’m serious — it could completely change bedtime harmony.

What Is The Scandinavian Sleep Method?
In short: it’s sensible, simple, and surprisingly effective.
Popular across Scandinavia and parts of Europe, this approach blends practical bedding choices with bright, cheerful linens that boost comfort and mood.

Colorful bedding is part of the look, but the real game-changer is how the duvet is managed.

How Do You Put The Scandinavian Sleep Method Into Practice?
Here’s the idea.
In the U.S., many couples use a top sheet plus one large blanket or comforter shared by both people.

That arrangement leads to kicked-off sheets, blanket fights, and one partner feeling too hot while the other is too cold.

The Scandinavian Sleep Method removes the top sheet—it’s often just unnecessary extra fabric that gets twisted around your feet.

But the essential change is using separate duvets or blankets: two twin-sized covers, one for each person.

With individual blankets, there’s no fighting over covers. Each person controls their warmth independently.

If you’re cold, you pull your blanket up. If you’re too warm, you push it aside. No stealing, no resentment—just personal comfort.

I’m genuinely excited about trying this. The idea of fewer blanket disputes has me thrilled.
I’m already dreaming about new, colorful bedding for our room.
